Na początku marca 2018 r. w Instytucie Geografii i Gospodarki Przestrzennej UJ odbędą się międzynarodowe warsztaty - International Workshop on Ecological Connectivity Modelling. Warsztaty poprowadzi interdyscyplinarna grupa naukowców z instytutów badawczych z Niemiec, Polski, Słowacji i Szwajcarii.
Zachęcamy do udziału młodych naukowców: doktorantów i uczestników staży podoktorskich.
Warsztaty podzielono na 4 bloki tematyczne:

Topic 3: Connectivity modelling
Topic 4: Connectivity assessment

Uczestnicy będą mieli możliwość pracy z oprogramowaniem R, QGIS, MaxEnt i Circuitscape. Podczas zaplanowanej sesji posterowej będą mogli zaprezentować wyniki badań, które prowadzą.
Udział w warsztatach jest bezpłatny.

The International Workshop on Ecological Connectivity Modelling will take place in the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management at the Jagiellonian University, Poland from 6th to 9th of March 2018.
The workshop will be conducted by an interdisciplinary group of scientists from research institutions all over Europe (Germany, Poland, Slovakia, and Switzerland).
The workshop is open to young scientists, PhD students and postdocs.
The workshop will be organised around four major topics related to four main steps in connectivity assessment:
Topic 1: Species and related environmental data
Topic 2: Habitat modelling
Topic 3: Connectivity modelling
Topic 4: Connectivity assessment
Participants will learn to how to use of open source software such as R, QGIS, MaxEnt and Circuitscape. During the workshop, there will be a poster session where participants have the opportunity to present their current relevant research work.
There is no registration fee.
